Feature request: Auto-Subscribe while editing

Using FogBugz 5.0.19 we often have the following situation:

Person A creates a case. Person B edits this case, but didn't assigns it back to A => A don't get notified about the additional comment.

Now here comes my feature request for a future version of FogBugz:

If a user writes or edits a case, he should be auto-subscribed to this case by default.

With this simple solution, every user who has contributed something to a case, is notified if someone other has changed or commented the case.

I agree, it would be great if each user had the option to auto-subscribe to any case they open, edit, reply to, resolve or close.

But, if the user "unsubscribes" from a case, they should not be re-subscribed automatically when they add another comment etc, they can re-subscribe manually if they wish.

Maybe there should be a "subscribe to this Case" check box next to the OK/Cancel buttons when performing an edit, resolve etc.

I agree with Ian, and think it would be even cooler if there was a (system-wide or user-specific) setting that determined whether the "subscribe" box was checked or unchecked by default.

I can see the value of making it a user option to auto-subscribe to a bug once they have edited or created it.  I don't like having the default be auto-subscribe because FogBugz can generate a lot of email, and we want to make FogBugz to not be annoying by default.  I'll add it as a feature request.
