Leading zeros are stripped in case titles

If the title of a case is an integer, for example, '012345', when the case is edited or assigned, the leading zero is stripped, resulting in a title of '12345'. This doesn't occur if the case title is not an integer, say '0123.4567' remains '0123.4567'. However, '-01' becomes '-1'.

Leading zeros in IDs our software generates are significant, so this causes us problems when a user sends an bug report in with a title of '00263623', and it gets changed to '263623' as soon as it is edited or assigned.

I wasn't able to reproduce in the case title field.  However, I was able to reproduce this behavior in the custom fields (nominally called Version and Computer) in version 5.0.19.  Which version of FogBugz are you using?

Version 5.0.17 (DB 502) on Windows

To clarify, this does not happen when the case is opened, only when it is assigned or edited.

I reproduced it in 5.0.19 using a case title which contains only the number and nothing else. If the title is pure digits and no other characters (not even a space), then editing has the effect of stripping leading zeroes.

Thanks for the help on repro-ing the title truncation, Steve - I think I must have had spaces in there before or something because I can reproduce it now.

I'll pass that along.
