V4 issue, logon on submit screenshot

I have an issue, when I submit a screen shot using the tool I get the logon box as normal, once I enter my details in that window closes and the main logon screen comes up, and it did not before? why has this started to happen? can anyone shed some light?

If I then re-enter my info in the second logon screen it allows the bug screen to appear as normal.

The screenshot tool uses IE as its submission engine, so you have to log in through IE.  Then it opens your preferred browser, which is probably not IE to submit the bug, but if you don't have the "remember me" checkbox checked, then you will have to log on in that browser also.

Not sure if that is the reson, as my browser is only IE, it was working fine and seemed to just stop.

Any other ideas?

New IE browser means new session?  You aren't using the remember me checkbox maybe?

No :¬(

It opens the IE window, I put in my credentials as I did a number of times, then instead of shelling to the bug section is closes the window and spawns a new logon windows.  If I then logon using the new spawned windows then the bug screen comes up.  Just a pain that you have to logon twice when it did not do this before?

Tried on 2 pc's now same result.

Will get around this by using the remember me option.

It uses one browser session to upload the screenshot and another to let you fill out the bug. Unfortunately it has to make two browser sessions for unbelievably complicated reasons that you would tear your own eyes out if I started to describe them here :-)

The only way to avoid logging in twice is to have the "remember me at this computer" setting keep your login with a cookie.

[Masochists: it's because the "upload the screenshot" is an HTML file on disk and if that file tried to run JavaScript to self-submit its own form and go to FogBugz itself, the newest versions of IE would refuse, on the grounds that Microsoft has strangely decided that running JavaScript contained in HTML files on your own hard drive is somehow a security risk.]

[Extreme masochists: Yes, I know, it's even more complicated than that. That was the simplified explanation.]
