API: Updating Elapsed Time on Cases?

I'm working with FogBugz API Version 3, using FB 6.0 Online Edition, and would like to be able to update the elapsed time with the 'edit' command.

I see that I can update the hrsCurrEst, but the hrsElapsed value (which I gleaned from viewing source on the Edit form on the site) is apparently ignored when I set it via the API.

Is there another way to update the elapsed time? The only way I can think of to programatically indicate "I just spent an hour on case #123" is to issue a newInterval cmd like:

cmd=newInterval&ixBug=123&dtStart=[now - 1hr]&dtEnd=[now]

Anything planned for a more convenient approach? Updating time elapsed with cmd=edit would mean I'd only have to make one API call.

Thanks!

As of right now, I think you are correct that the only way to update the elapsed time would be to create a new time interval.  I'll open a case to see if we can add a way to edit the elapsed time directly.
