Email client other than FogBugz

Is there a way to have FogBugz use my email client (in this case Thunderbird) to send/reply/forward.  All of the addresses that I use all the time are there and it is an interface that I am used to.

If not, is there a way to get/use an address book within FogBugz?  I have to do multiple copies and keep a number of people in the loop both in and outside our company.

I am using FogBugz on my own server.

There probably is a way, but it would require some code.  You could probably write a GreaseMonkey script that echo'd your actions to your Thunderbird client and made them happen there too.  Only problem is I see this as being a big project for you...
