Disable Global Releases (Undecided)

Out of curiosity, why is it that a "global" release is required?  As long as one release is assignable, why give users another selection (undecided)?

I would like to disable the undecided "global" release as I have multiple projects and would rather have users default to the next immediate milestone.

There are things throughout the code that rely on it being there (like incoming inquiries for mailboxes, etc).  You shouldn't remove it (you can't from the UI-- and if you do it from the DB you'll run into trouble later).

Hi Michael,

How do I remove it from the UI?

From the Projects options I get the following warning when I try to make the global "undecided" unassignable:

"You must have at least one assignable release for each project. Until you create another assignable release for this project, you cannot make this release unassignable. FogBugz requires at least one assignable global release."

The thing is, I already have an assignable release for each project.  Why am I getting this warning?

You can't remove it from the UI.  Currently it is required (because there are lots of parts of the code that rely on it existing).

It would be nice if I could set a Default [Release] for a Project.  Right now I'm getting stuff going into Undecided because I forget to assign it correctly, and that's kinda a Black Hole and may prevent something getting noticed.

Additionally: if a Default could be set for a Project then perhaps "Undecided" could be hidden from the Drop Down for that project?
