E-mail Body No Longer Included in Notification E-mail

It appears you guys have turned off the feature where FogBugz includes the text of the incoming e-mail (sent to a mailbox FogBugz is monitoring) in the body of the notification e-mail.

This was a great feature, since it allowed me to quickly see if I needed to address the e-mail immediately, without opening FogBugz. This is a time-waster for me now, since I can't see what the e-mail is unless I open FogBugz.

Can you add it back, perhaps as a system option to turn it on or off?  I understand that HTML e-mails could get a little out of control, but I'd prefer that to be MY decision, not YOUR decision.

:)

(I've been hammered all week by clients asking about stuff that we decided they could do without in our new update...so I know what a pain in the a** question this is.)

Not a pain at all!  But we definitely never had this feature :)  I would ask around and see if somebody modified your code to do that, or look in your backup fogbugz directory for the modifications (setup renames old fogbugz installs to fogbugz.1 fogbugz.2 etc)

Since people can send arbitrarily complex (and questionably secure) emails, we just write that an email notification has been received.  It has been this way in both 3.0 and 4.0.

I beg to differ. You most certainly DID have this feature--it was not one custom-coded by us.  Here is a sample notification when an e-mail was received and imported into FogBugz. (This one happens to be a virus e-mail after Norton stripped off the offending attachment):

Please have a look at the attached file.

If you do not want to receive automatic FogBUGZ notifications in the future, go to FogBUGZ preferences (http://turing/FogBugz/default.asp?pg=pgPrefs) to change your preference.
