Deleting bugs

Lets say someone create a bug and mistakenly included their bank account, pin, credit card info, and ssn. Is the only way to remove this bug entirely to access the database directly? Is this a safe thing to do?

Seem like this is a pretty big missing feature. Even if limited to Admins, this is important.

There's a sort of undocumented workaround... convert the bug to an inquiry, mark it as spam, and wait for the spam harvester to delete it permanently.

Or access the database.

In principle it's quite rare for people to put their bank account information into bugs :) and so the lack of an easy way to delete bugs is entirely by design.

Joel - It is a pity that you don't allow the database to enforce referential integrity. If you did, then deleting a row from Bug - as you suggest above - would be a much less risky business.

Hmmm well I'm not sure I agree with your "principle". My original post was rather dramatic on purpose, but after 1 week of using FogBugz we've already had a bugs that should be deleted. Specifically, a user typed their password and account info into a bug. This should not be visible to eveyone with read access to our database.

Strange I replied, but the text seems to be missing. Trying again:
