workflow question FB 4

Greetings!

So we are trying the FB4 trial on a small live project.

I have a workflow issue that there must be an answer to:

User A adds a new bug, assigns to user B.
User B fixes it, hits 'resolve' on that bug.

  (fine so far)

Now someone needs to validate that it is really fixed. So it seems that FB auto-assigns the bug to user B, and the status is 'Resolved'

OK. So now what does user B actually do now to close it out? Hitting Resolve again does not seem to change anything (the bug still shows on B's list as Resolved).

Am I missing something? (probably!)

Thanks!

User B would use the "Close" button to close out the case.

Wait... the workflow you described isn't how FogBugz works...

A opens a Bug and assigns to B.

B resolves Bug (this auto assigns the bug BACK to A)

Now A verifies fix and closes bug.

That's how it should work.  If you don't see this can you give me repro steps or screenshots?

Ack. Sorry, Michael!

Yes, I see. I had missed this before.

This does work. The main thing is that I can still reassign it around for final closing.....  very important.

FB by default pushes it to the person who opened it, and that is OK, I guess.  Seems like there could easily be a setting by project:

Assigned user for closing (defaults to item creator)

This would be helpful so that some projects could always go to a 'gatekeeper' person for final close.  (for example, this person would make sure that the item is linked to a VCS item, will get documented, etc.)
