Previous Values are "Sticking" in New Cases

When we enter a new case (we're on Version 4.0.11 (DB 461), whatever text was previously entered in the 2nd Extra Field is defaulted into the new case. Not sure if it matters, but we customized the name of this field under Site settings.

It's not a big problem, but some of our users don't catch it so it's leading to some misleading case assignments.  Was wondering if anyone else had this issue.

Thanks.

Issue? That's a feature! :) FogBugz remembers what you entered last, to make entering multiple bugs easier.

This stems from the fact that those two fields were previously always used as "Computer" and "Version" and so we remembered them for you, but now that they can be renamed anything, I don't believe this makes sense anymore.  Thanks for the report.  We'll look into fixing this for the next release.

Ahh, it all makes sense now. That explains why it was just those two fields. Maybe a future option in Site settings "to stick" or "not to stick":)

We use our FogBugz for bug-tracking of industrial equipment, so will never use those fields for computer or version info. Thanks for the clarification.

Michael,

stickiness still makes sense for those of us who continue to use "computer" and "version" for these fields. Please don't "break" this functionality by "fixing it".  ;-)

This feature is one of the nice finishing touches in this system that frankly blows my socks off!!!

An enhancement on this would be to somehow highlight the fields that are being remembered in case you're not paying attention (I mean, we're programmers, 2am is like a normal work day, but the brain sometimes shuts off!)

The highlighting could be suttle, much like the various UI touches throughout this amazing product.  Having perhaps a checkbox or button to clear a "remembered" field would be handy in case it really should be blank this time...
