Correspondent

I've noticed that many of the cases opened up by email don't have a "Correspondent" field with links to other cases submitted by that email or domain.  I think this has just started happening.  I'm not quite sure if there's a pattern as a few emails have come in that do show a Correspondent.  Is there a reason why it would show on some inquiries and not others?

Are these actual email inquries that were submitted? Or were they submitted through BugzScout or through the public web interface?

You can check the sCustomerEmail column in the Bug table for that case to see if anything is in there.

These are email inquiries that are pulled from a POP3 mailbox.  I checked one sample inquiry with no correspondent displayed and there is a value (which is the customer email) in the sCustomerEmail field.

What does the value look like?

OK, I tracked this one down.  I noticed that the correspondent field uses the full text index if it's available, which it is on my server.  But apparently the search service died a few days ago and our index was corrupt.  When it got restarted and the index rebuilt, the scheduler was disabled and the index wasn't getting updated.  That's why some cases showed a correspondent (if they had emailed us before).  Anyway, it's fixed now - thanks.
