Deleting the Schedule Items category

We've been using fogbugz for at least six years.  After that amount of time, there is some cruft that needed cleaning.

We don't use Schedule Items.  Well, we don't use them for what they were intended.  Some people use them as "bugs that need to get done ASAP" which is very far off the intended use.  Nobody uses them for their intended use.  I would like to delete the category so it isn't used.  Since it's a special category with a "isScheduleItem" flag, I'm a little hesitant to do so.

Would removing this row from the DB cause problems I'm not aware of?  Or should I seriously think about using schedule items as intended?

We don't want to force you to use FogBugz in a way that's not natural for you.  We don't have any experience with removing the schedule item, so we can't really say what the effect might be. This category has special significance for Evidence-Based Scheduling, so it might have unexpected results.

FogBugz 7 will almost certainly include the ability to edit the names of these categories, and to add new ones, and to delete some of them, but two categories (Inquiries and Schedule Items) have special significance, and so cannot be deleted.  I believe they can be renamed, though.
